Dear HoCo Diary, A little-known Colleen Morgenthau fact–mostly because it just doesn’t come up that often–is that I have a Master’s in Rhetoric. My interest in the field was and is rather traditional, in the sense that it has to do with the nuts and bolts of language, in particular tropes and figures, and their persuasive effects, the scholarship which was mostly done pre-20th-century.
